Christmas Fair
A great big "Thank You!" to everyone who took part in and visited our Christmas Fair on Saturday 26th November.
The crowds flocked in to see the Rose Queen and Retinue opening the event - and then they stayed and enjoyed browsing delightful array of stalls offering crafts, scrumptious cakes, raffle and tombola opportunities, traditional games like "Shove Ha'penny", decorating biscuits and lots more including, of course - Santa!
There was also a mouth-watering offering of cakes and refreshments with the added "sparkle" of mulled wine and mince pies to provide a welcome glow against the chilly November weather.
As well as enjoying a couple of hours of fun and festive activities, the visitors managed to raise a wonderful total of £1,373.22 for the Village Hall and Community Groups.
So - thanks again to visitors and those Community Groups who came together in this lovely annual village event and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas 2011!

The Christmas fair is a major fund-raising event in support of the Village Hall and our Community Groups (not-for-profit hall users).
The Fair is opened by the Rose Queen, accompanied by her Retinue and there is then a range of colourfull stalls offering gifts, games, raffles and much more.
Santa also visits the Fair each year so the children can see him to let him know their wishes for Christmas.
